New Years Eve for some…

Hugs and Honis wishes Happy New Years Eve to some of the world!

You are at the dawn of a new beginning, 2009 is right around the corner!  Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!  This year was a life-changing year, a blessed year!  We must all look forward to the new year and take all we’ve learned from 2008 with us.  Step by step, goal by goal, dream by dream and heart by heart!  God is so good!

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has loved Hugs and Honis from the beginning, from the birth of the “idea” of Hugs and Honis!  It is because of you Hugs and Honis has become a reality!  To those dear and close to my heart, you are too many to name, but I love you so much!  Thank you to all of the Japan halau who have embraced Hugs and Honis, you are amazing!  To those who are a part of my foundation, I can’t express how much love and appreciation I have for you… there is truly no place like home!  This dream is our dream, thank you for believing!

Paauilo, Big Island

We are finally in Paauilo!  Here you can see the snow on Mauna Kea!

What a beautiful day on the Big Island it turned out to be!

Animals galore!  

Goats, Cows, Bunnies, Horses, Turkeys, Pigs!  They have it all!

We spent a few days in Paauilo after Christmas!  It was so quiet, peaceful and serene!  It really is a piece of heaven there!  The country life is so wonderful!  Everything is so laid back and simple!  No tall buildings and no ridiculous traffic!  It was a perfect get-a-way!  All we did was eat and eat and eat!  Haha!  The weather was so beautiful the day after the storm, and there was so much snow on the mountain!  I luv it!  There truly is no place like home!

The Storm After Christmas!

So, the day after Christmas was crazy!  The Big Island stormed!  Rain fell non-stop and there were many landslides and flooded roads everywhere… this is a glimpse of how rainy it was.  Imagine this times a 100 and that’s what it was like.  Lucky for me, I had the luxury of having some warm malasadas from Tex Drive Inn to make the trip back to Hilo more enjoyable!  :)  They were so delicious!

CHRISTMAS IS HERE!

To our surprise, Santa delivered SOOOOOOOOOOOO much presents!  Yaaaaaaay!  Here is Keani opening her box full of shoes from Santa!  Uncle Johnny takes care of Stitch while Keani separates everyones presents!  

Here is Keani with her biggest surprise!  Ari came home to Hilo for the holidays!  What a beautiful and blessed Christmas morning!  There is nothing like being home for the holidays!

It was the night before Christmas…

It is tradition to bake cookies for Santa and leave it under the tree with a letter!

Everyone asleep, even Stitch!  The house is quiet as everyone sleeps so Santa can arrive!  SSSSHHHH!  Christmas is almost here in Hilo!
