The Angel Tree!

It has become a tradition of ours to go to the Angel Tree every year at Christmas time.  The Angel Tree is put together by the Salvation Army for children and adults in need.  When you choose an angel, you get to see what it is that their heart desires for Christmas.  For some it may be as simple as a rice cooker and for others, books to read for school, a blanket, or simply a toy.  It is hard times for all of us, but it is such an amazing feeling to give to an “angel” and be reminded of the true spirit of Christmas.  If it is at all possible, please visit the “angel tree” and help make tiny wishes come true.

Rain, Rain, Rain!

Here is the view of Honolulu from the Ala Moana sky cam.  As you can see, Honolulu is hardly visible at this hour!  We are getting drenched with rain, but it brings such a Christmassy feeling… I luv it!  Makes me think of Hilo.  Roads are closed, some schools cancelled, and some areas have no power!  I’d like to say winter is here in Hawaii, and since we won’t get snow, we may as well get rain!  :)
