…And the Hawaiian Grammy Award goes to?

“Carrere, who was born and raised in the Islands but has been living in Los Angeles since 1985, was nominated last year in the Hawaiian music category. Ho, also an L.A.-based islander, has been nominated three times, and has won the award three times as a producer. This is Ho’s first nomination and win as a performer.” ~ Honolulu Advertiser
The other nominees were “Aumakua” by Amy Hanaialii, “Hawaiian Slack Key Kings: Masters Series Vol. 2″ by various artists, “Force of Nature” by Led Kaapana and Mike Kaawa and “The Spirit of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar,” also by various artists. The first Hawaiian grammy was given in 2005.
