New Year Resolutions!

“It seems that many of us have lost that sense of wonder and awe for the incredible gift of life itself.  Instead of marveling at it all, we take life for granted.”~ Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

Life moves so fast, and who would have thought we’d be in 2010 already!  It is really convenient to move with the “day in and day out” motions of life without stopping to breathe and be thankful… but we need to.   From right after Christmas into the New Year, things have been hectic and so busy.  Work seemed to overlap the holidays and before I could stop to take a breath, we were well into 2010!  My New Years resolution is to take it one day at a time, choose happiness, live with gratitude,  stop worrying about things that are out of my control, and lastly, always be in awe of this life that we are so blessed to live.

There are so many things to be thankful for…

Have an amazing New Year!

1 Christmas, 2 Christmas!

Christmas Day in Japan!

Bye, bye Japan… Hilo here we come!

Christmas Night in Hilo!

Keani strikes a pose in the sequins dress from Ari and her family!

Serenity’s first pair of “boots with the fur!”… but she wants to eat it instead!  :)

Papa Derek and Serenity!

Although we were blessed with having 2 Christmas days, I was soooooooooooooooooo tired!  From Japan to Oahu, then Oahu to Hilo, then Hilo to Oahu the next evening… I’m still tired!  Haha!  Both Christmas days were full of blessings!  There is so much to be thankful for this year… so many little things, and so many special things, like health, happiness and most of all my niece!  Christmas is always special, but this year it was double the blessings, double the love!

~So thankful for 2 Christmas days!

Christmas eve concert!

Christmas Eve Concert!

Here we are in Hiratsuka at this beautiful church for the last show!  It was a beautiful end to all of the concerts.  It was Christmas Eve, very cold, and all I wished for was SNOW!  It didn’t happen… but it was still very cozy in Japan, so I was thankful!

Yokohama concert!

Christmas with Uncle Willie K and Jaye!

Hugs and Honis booth at the concert!

It was some kind of feeling to share the stage with Uncle Willie K and Jaye!  This was the beginning of an amazing series of concerts… they are nothing short than spectacular!  It was such an honor for me to be there with them.  I would like to thank so many people who made this concert a memorable experience.

Thanks to Ohi and Scot, who powered through this whole week with me.  I can’t forget to thank Tetsu and Michiyo for ALWAYS helping me!  You both are wonderful and I can’t thank you enough!  To all the students that were at the concert, so much love to all of you!  To Heco and Yuiko, thank you so much for everything and most of all for keeping Ohi warm!  :) Thanks to Seiko for EVERYTHING… even for feeding us!  Thanks to Kayoko for always being there for Hugs and Honis!  To everyone who made this moment possible, thank you, thank you, thank you!  I am always humbled and grateful for all your love!
